The ART of Rapid Recovery

Founder: Laney Rosenzweig MA, LMFT

Imagine, if you can, what it feels like to carry a terrible burden for years and then all of a sudden to let it go – years of trauma gone in a flash – during a single session with a therapist. You give the therapist a look of disbelief – but you have just experienced this amazing relief. That this can happen may seem unbelievable, but it does happen consistently with the use of Accelerated Resolution Therapy.

ART has been used to treat adults and children with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, sexual abuse trauma, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, addictions, grief and job or relationship issues. ART reprograms the brain and makes positive changes for these conditions. The limits of ART have yet to be explored.

How ART Works

In ART, the eye movements are thought to be conducive to sorting out problems quickly through increasing the integration of activities in the left and right sides of the brain. These movements also seem to help the client process information by producing a deep feeling of relaxation. Yet ART is not hypnosis. During REM our brains are quite active and the brain waves are similar to those when we are in an awake state.

ART is directive. The therapist focuses the client’s thoughts through interventions, most of which are unique to ART, such as Voluntary Memory Replacement / Voluntary Image Replacement (VMR/VIR). These interventions by the therapist actually empower the client. It is the information provided by the clients as they process their problems that leads the clinician in directing the session.

Laney explains that “the experience is much like a regular talk session with the eye movements added to help clients quickly process the information they need to resolve their issues. Clients leave feeling that a weight has been lifted and a wonderful change has been made. They usually find healing in as few as one or two sessions in which the rapid eye movements are used – and it is a drug free therapy.”

My own testimony to ART’s effectiveness

When I attended the ART training for therapists, I saw amazing results happen for other therapists! Think about what I just said…!  Better than that, I experienced amazing results with my own anxiety!  I have worked with several clients using ART. They have found same day relief.  If you would like to give ART a try to see if you can find this same relief, please call today.  Please give me or another certified ART therapist a call.  Several certified therapists are listed on the website. I am located in St. Cloud, Florida. I am in easy driving distance from many areas in Brevard, Osceola, Orange, and Pinellas counties.

Life Coaching

Life Coaching helps an individual to make choices that create an effective, balanced, and fulfilling life.  Life Coaching is coming along someone and taking them to the next level of their personal development.  I have become very excited since I know the direction God wants me to pursue in my career.  This development has been very enjoyable and exciting.   My coach, Dwight Bain, has come beside me and helped me answer some essential questions like; What is my dream job?  What is the job God is calling me to do?  How do I plan to get there?

The reason I chose Life Coaching is because I have been a teacher, minister, and now an Involvement Minister.  I have been doing coaching most of my life.  I just never knew what it was called or never really enjoyed the rewards of it.  In my professions I have mentored, discipled, taught, and helped other individuals.  I also teach a Life Group Class.  It is very rewarding to walk beside a group of people as God in his time takes them to a higher level spiritually.  I can say, “Life Coaching is my fit.”

“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you’ve imagined. As you simplify your life, the laws of the universe will be simpler.”

Henry David Thoreau

Trust: Its affect in life and coaching

When a lack of trust develops between the client and coach everything falls apart.  The client comes to you to get his life on track not to be lead astray.  Through my years as a teacher, a coach, and minister trust has been a very important area of my life when trying to create change in people

Change takes time and is based in a client’s trust of you. Trust does not happen overnight but can take a life time to get.  In 1990 my family moved to Florida.  We had lived in Ohio for 16 years in a small town where everyone knew your name and you knew theirs.  I came from a good Christian family who already had paved a road of respect and trust.  This was already a huge help in my life because all I had to do was to protect the trust my family had earned.  We have been in Florida for 21 years and one of the first things I learned was; I was not a big fish in a little pond, but a small fish in a large pond.  I didn’t know anyone here and it has taken a long time for my wife and I to build the trust of others.  Without this trust my wife and I could not go into the area of counseling and coaching.

A client can lose trust in one lapse of integrity. There are many things in life you can’t buy, you must earn them, and trust is one of them.  Through my life I have learned there is no way I can buy trust, and losing the trust one has earned would take a life time to rebuild.
